Serving as Director on the Board of Directors of HARTRON, Haryana State Electronics Corporation Limited. Sole Investigator for a consultancy job from Vikram Sarabhai Research Center, a constituent unit of Indian Space Research Organisation entitled Reliability Analysis and Apportionment for a general system with special reference to PSLV. Conducted three Short Term Courses of one week each on Reliability Engineering for Scientists / Engineers from industries in the country at Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Also conducted in-house courses for TVS Electronics, Bangalore; CMERI, Durgapur; Bharat Electronics Ltd., Ghaziabad; DCM Data products, Delhi and TISL, Bangalore. Delivered special invited lectures at reputed public enterprises such as Defence Research & Development Laboratory, Hyderabad; Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum; Electronics Corporation of India, Hyderabad; Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited, Hyderabad; and Centre for Electronics Design and Technology, Chandigarh etc. Conducted as many as 15 in-house programs on Software Reliability Engineering at various centres of Tata Consultancy Services Limited.

Member, Advisory Committee of Haryana Remote Sensing Agency. Conducted Reliability Analysis for High Power Amplifier for Satellite Communications on behalf of Electronics Corporation of India Limited. Conducted Reliability studies for Instrument Landing Systems on behalf of Civil Aviation Department, Govt. of India. Visited Tata Research

Design & Development Centre, Pune during 1992 and worked on practical problems in the area of Software Reliability. Visited Ford Motors, Detroit, USA for lecture/ discussions on Reliable Wiring arrangements in Modern vehicles. Visited Information Management Resources, Clearwater, Florida, USA for presenting a one day tutorial on Software Reliability to their engineers.

Member of the Information Technology Vision Group, under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Punjab for implementing IT concepts in the state. Invited Speaker at CII University-Industry Council Symposium. Invited Speaker by FICCI on the topic Delhi as on International Education Hub.

Founder Vice-Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University from December, 1998 to November, 2008.

  • General Administration in the newly established University for areas such as Examination,Hostels,Student Activities etc.
  • Framing of all rules / regulations for the new University
  • Responsible for collaboration with IGNOU for distance education program in the areas of Computer Education and Management.

  • Established & developed B-Tech Degree course in Electronics and Communication Engineering
